We started out with Mom, Dad, and Angela as additions to our family party (they were on their way back from Idaho and Bailey's homecoming).
Emily never skimps on the spread... no matter who comes :)
There was a little bit of tractor riding between sessions... who is Jared giving a ride to?
:)
Back in the saddle again...
We had the obligatory donuts after priesthood session... Joanna and Millie joined us.
Reminders to self for next conference doughnut making:
1. Do not cover doughnuts as they are raising! That way they will keep their shape when picked up and dropped into the oil. Also generously greasing/flouring the raising pans will help get them safely into the oil as they are easy to pick up.
2. Cake doughnut dough shouldn't be very wet. Otherwise it will soak in all the oil instead of frying.
3. Half a recipe is plenty, especially if Emily is making dough too.
Same group of peeps Sunday morning..
Do you like our bowery around the TV? Bushes and flowers... Aaron and Emily like to be as fancy as the conference center.
Gage and Bingo...
Candy and Nuts...
Similar spread but with fruit cuz its morning...
Listening and coloring...
Listening and coloring?
Tom, Megan and Adam had gone to the conference center for the Sunday morning session and then stopped at our house for the afternoon session. Alec and Jalyn came up too.
Unfortunately Angela had to leave in the middle to catch an evening flight back to NM...
Unfortunately Angela had to leave in the middle to catch an evening flight back to NM...
I had started posole Saturday in order to have it for supper Sunday evening so even though we had been eating snacks all day, we ate as soon as it was done after conference so Tom could start back for St. George. Emily made cornbread for those who weren't big fans of posole :).
But before he went... Jared persuaded Tom to try out the tractor...
Backing it in
All in all a very successful conference! Our theme seemed to be food and tractors...

What a full weekend you had. I sooo wish I lived closer so that I could have helped you feel even more stressed trying to fit my family in your home! Happy about the triplets.
